My baby was suppose to be due on the 6th of September so, we were quite prepared for the delivery…(so we thought..haha). It turned out that my dear wife broke her water bag at 5pm on the 25th of august, but didnt tell me till 7pm. In between the two hours she had the strength to even served me food and had good conversations. It was only when I finished my food that she asked me to bring her to the hospital as she thought her water had broke. I had a shock and quickly brought her there thinking that this might be it…our baby might be coming out in a few hours. She was then admitted into the hospital at around 9pm and our doctor (Dr Sivamohan of Damansara Specialist Hospital) mentioned that he will deliver the baby at 6am in the morning. I didn’t know how he arrived to that delivery time but he was quite spot on…Eva Lestari was delivered at 550am on the 26th of August 2009 weighing at a good 2.86kg!

From then on it was just a rollercoaster ride as we were struggling to learn the basics of being parents. Thanks to my mother in law Jenny Razak and my dearest Mum and Dad…all I can say is that without them, Intan and I would be lost. I have to also give it up to my dearest wife Intan who has gone through the labor bravely and managed to give her all as a mother and a wife should. I sensed a lot of love this past few days within the family and am thankful for all that has happened and can’t wait to go through our coming years as new parents.

In all that, my Nikonian self never lost track of the importance of catching the moments of history (for me of course). From the time Eva was delivered till now, I filmed relentlessly the video of her being cleaned in the labor room till today. Let me share some of the stills with you.
